Community Outreach

A large part of CREECA’s mission is to foster new knowledge and understanding of Russia, East Europe, and Central Asia and to serve as a resource through outreach activities. CREECA is actively seeking opportunities to collaborate with community groups. We can provide speakers on a variety of topics, arrange workshops and seminars, and provide educational and background materials from our extensive lending library.

Day in East and Central Europe

 

Each spring (usually mid-to-late March), CREECA holds a day-long event for high school juniors and seniors to learn about areas of Russia, East Europe, and Central Asia.

 

Participation in the event is free and a limited amount of financial aid is available to help cover busing costs for schools outside the Madison area. Please see the example registration form for more information. Forms are usually due in early March.
