The University of Wisconsin-Madison has instituted an undergraduate Russian Flagship Center, with funding from the National Security Education Program. The Russian Flagship Center will provide qualified and motivated undergraduate students in all majors the opportunity to achieve a professional level of competence in Russian through intensive Russian language courses, overseas study, extra-curricular activities,and the chance to live in the new Russian House / Русский дом (Russkii dom), a Russian-language floor in University Housing.
The UW-Madison Russian Flagship is a collaborative initiative of the UW-Madison Department of Slavic Languages and Literature and the Language Institute, with support from CREECA, and the Doctoral Program in Second Language Acquisition.
