FOCCUS is a non-governmental organization dedicated to strenghtening Chernobyl recovery efforts in areas of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia that continue to be severely affected by contaminated land and severe eonomic development problems. FOCCUS' efforts are coordinated through a network of Community Centers originally established by UNESCO. FOCCUS efforts are also directed toward public education regarding the Chernobyl accident and its after effects.
